I have worked in the behavioral health field for over ten years - as a crisis line supervisor,  substance use counselor,  crisis mental health clinician,  as a therapist with young adults in a partial hospitalization program, providing parenting support in a recovery program for women and children, and as a therapist in corrections settings.   I frequently utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, and narrative therapy. 


I have a Master of Social Work from Portland State University, a Master of Global Public Health from New York University, and am a License as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in Oregon.  I also work as an adjunct professor at Portland State University's Graduate School of Social Work.

 

My specialties are addictive behaviors, co-occurring disorders, and working with teenagers and young adults.  I am a Certified Animal Assisted Intervention Specialist, and often utilize animals in my practice.
